Job summary

Valley Vista in Bradford, VT is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care in a substance use disorder treatment setting, including detoxification and residential services. The RN will perform assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team.

The position requires a Vermont RN license, a nursing degree, and BLS certification; experience with MAT and trauma-informed care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse license in Vermont.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical and behavioral health assessments.
• Establish nursing diagnoses and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, modifying care plans as needed.
• Administer medications, including detoxification and MAT protocols, per provider orders.
• Respond to acute medical and behavioral health needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, APRNs, counselors, and case managers to support integrated care.
• Direct and supervise LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Maintain compliant clinical documentation and adhere to regulatory standards.
