Qualifications

• Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse.
• In good standing with New York State Education Dept.
• Experience in sub-acute residential care setting preferred.
• BSN from accredited program preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and proprietary databases.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Train staff in procedures for overseeing client access to medication and assess competency.
• Conduct QA reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for medication access.
• Ensure OTC medication access complies with standing orders.
• Coordinate medication orders transmission to pharmacy and reconcile deliveries.
• Provide direct client access to medication and document in MAR.
• Conduct triage and medical evaluations during shifts.
• Coordinate medical services among behavioral staff and healthcare providers.
• Monitor client adherence and communicate with staff regarding non-adherence.
• Schedule medical and psychiatric appointments and ensure documentation.
