Job summary

Odyssey House in New York City is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to oversee medication administration, coordinate medical/psychiatric appointments, and participate in the Interdisciplinary Team.

The role requires NY LPN license, CPR/First Aid, and at least one year in a social service setting. On-site position with a 35-hour week, competitive benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a social service setting.
• Current New York State LPN License required.
• Current CPR & First Aid Certificate required.
• Proficiency with computer operation (Word, Excel, AWARDS, Outlook) required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medication administration and document in MAR.
• Maintain MAR accuracy and notes for each client’s medications.
• Coordinate medical/psychiatric appointments for residents.
• Educate and supervise residents in the Medication Independence Training Program.
• Triage medical problems and emergencies and document appropriately.
• Maintain inventory and records of medications and supplies.
• Establish professional relationships with non‑medical staff to implement treatment plans.
