Job summary

Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama is seeking an RN Apprentice who is currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and participates in the Alabama apprenticeship program. Qualifications

• Current ABN-issued Student Nurse Apprentice Permit prior to start date.

Job Description

The RN apprentice, followed by the RN performs the functions of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care for the assigned patients on a unit during a shift based on current academic level. The RN apprentice, followed by the RN is responsible for meeting the Standards of Practice, which includes managing all assigned personnel, supplies and equipment on the unit and for the collaboration with all members of the health care team. The RN apprentice is also responsible for following the standards set by the Alabama board of nursing for the apprenticeship program.
