Qualifications

• Current program enrollment in an Alabama Board of Nursing approved nursing educational program that has a nurse apprentice partnership with East Alabama Health.
• Completion of foundational clinical nursing semester.
• Has obtained approval and basic competency validation of Board approved nursing skills from the nursing educational program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the registered nurse in providing direct patient care.
• Promote patient comfort and facilitate diagnostic and treatment procedures as outlined in the plan of care.
• Work under the direct supervision of the primary RN and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Function as a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
