Job summary

The DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Patient Care Services Team in Detroit, MI. The RN will manage nursing care for a group of patients and their families, applying independent judgment and collaborating with all team members to ensure high-quality care.

The RN will establish collaborative relationships with physicians, delegate and evaluate patient care, monitor progress, and assist in discharge planning.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Michigan is required.
• Graduation from a school of nursing is required.
• AHA BLS certification is required.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers.
• Delegates, assesses, provides and evaluates patient care.
• Provides and delegates patient care activities to team members.
• Monitors patient progress and prepares patients for discharge.
• Reports directly to senior unit management and participates in shared decision-making activities.
