Job summary

Mission Health in Asheville, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Stepdown Overflow unit. In this fast-paced setting, you will provide evidence-based care to adult patients transitioning from intensive care, including cardiac, medical-surgical, and post-operative cases.

You will monitor complex patients, manage medications and drips per protocol, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and support safe discharges in a collaborative, patient-centered

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina.
• Experience in stepdown/ intermediate care settings preferred.
• Ability to monitor and respond to complex patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based care to adult patients transitioning from ICU.
• Monitor and manage medications and IV drips per protocol.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe discharges.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and post-discharge instructions.
• Maintain patient safety and quality outcomes in a fast-paced unit.
