Job summary

Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an RN for Step Down ICU Nights Part Time to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical staff.

The RN will contribute to pre-operative and post-operative care, advocate for patients, and participate in hospital councils and nursing initiatives to elevate outcomes.

Qualifications

  • ACLS within 90 days of employment start date.
  • BCLS within 7 days of employment start date.
  • NIH Stroke Scale within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Licensed as RN.
  • Formal nursing education: ASN/ADN or BSN.
  • Minimum of 1 year hospital RN experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, note changes.
  • Perform procedures as ordered by the medical provider.
  • Document care in the medical record promptly and thoroughly.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
  • Maintain knowledge of meds, procedures, and equipment for cardiac/medical-surgical patients.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:
  • Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
  • Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date
  • NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • (RN) Registered Nurse
  • Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
  • One or more years of Hospital RN experience required
