Job summary

St. Tammany Health System is seeking an RN staff for PACU in Covington, LA. The role is full time with on-call requirements and 42 scheduled weekly hours.

The nurse will be responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame, using the nursing process and collaborating with the health care team. Minimum qualifications include a LA RN license, BLS and ALS certification through ILCOR courses with manikin check-off, and PALS certification within 6 months of hire.

Must be available in-house within 30 minutes when on call. **Minimum Qualifications:**Current LA RN License. Current BLS and ALS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off. **Preferred Qualifications:** Combination of acute medical / surgical nursing required, and critical care or post anesthesia nursing preferred. **Physical Demands:** Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
