Job summary

Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System is seeking an RN Staff for Outpatient Primary / PACT to provide direct patient care in a veterans-focused setting. The role emphasizes comprehensive nursing processes, care coordination, and collaboration with the care team.

Candidates should hold an approved nursing degree, active RN licensure in the U.S., and English proficiency. Bridge-programs may allow temporary licensure with eventual permanent appointment after graduation.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in English per 38 U.S.C. 7403(f).
• Graduate of an approved nursing program with ACEN/CCNE accreditation at program completion.
• Active RN license in a US state or territory.
• BSN or higher may be required for certain roles; bridge programs may allow temporary licensure.
• Foreign nursing education requires formal degree evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate care focused on patient education and self-management.
• Administer medications and procedures per established policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and deliver care.
• Lead unit-level quality improvement initiatives and ensure patient safety.
• Manage patient panels with registries and ensure timely access to care.
• Provide health promotion, disease prevention, and chronic care management.
