Fulton Commons in East Meadow, NY is hiring Registered Nurses (RN). Excellent opportunity for new grads to gain clinical experience with pay between $45.00 and $47.00 per hour. Full-time and part-time positions available for Evening and Night shifts, with rotating weekends as needed.

Positions require an active NYS RN license, strong assessment skills, independence in decision-making, and solid communication and computer skills. Sign-on bonus up to $2,500 and referral bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• Active NYS Registered Nurse License is required.
• Excellent clinical assessment skills expected.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Long-Term Care experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Use nursing judgment to set priorities and make decisions.
• Contribute to strategic plans and reviews to meet standards and improve quality.
• Implement physician orders accurately and timely.
• Perform standard nursing treatments and monitor effects.
• Assess and update Residents' care plans as needed.
• Complete care plans and documentation as assigned.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
• Supervise and direct resident care as needed.
• Establish rapport with patients and families as a facility representative.
• Provide information and support to patients, families, and health care team.
• Resolve patient needs using multidisciplinary team approaches.
• Maintain documentation of patient care and records.

Registered Nurse RN Duties:

• Uses nursing judgement and knowledge of gerontological nursing to set priorities and make decisions.
• Meets nursing operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
• Implements physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Performs standard nursing treatments and observes resident for desired and unwanted effects.
• Assess & implement Residents' care plans when conditions warrant a change as necessary.
• Completes care plans and other documents as assigned.
• Complies with the confidentiality of all resident information as per HIPAA and corporate guidelines.
• Supervises, directs and/or provides resident care when assigned.
• Establishes personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons as a representative of the facility.
• Provides support to patients, friends, and families.
• Provides information to patients and health care team by answering questions and requests.
• Resolves patient needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
• Maintains documentation of patient care services by auditing patient and department records.

RN Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must have an active / unrestricted NYS Registered Nurse License
• Should have excellent clinical assessment skills
• Ability to make good independent decisions
