Huntsville Hospital Health System is seeking a registered nurse to deliver professional nursing care, assess patient needs, plan and delegate treatments, and evaluate patient outcomes. The role emphasizes prioritization, strong communication, and independent work in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Candidates must hold a current Alabama or Multistate nursing license, with BLS completed during orientation and ACLS within six months of hire.

Overview

Maintains established standards of care, policies, objective, and goals in administering professional nursing care to all patients. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care though assessment. The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The RN evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned

Qualifications

Education required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Experience: Required

Additional skills/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently. Must have knowledge of all equipment and materials required for procedures described in the Nursing Service Procedure Manual. Department specific competencies must be completed within the provisional period.
