Job summary

Huntsville Health and Rehabilitation in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Staff Development Registered Nurse (RN) to lead education and training for our nursing and support staff. You will design programs, coordinate orientation, and mentor teams to elevate resident care.

This leadership role focuses on compliance, infection control, and quality improvement, with a path to build confident care teams. Applicants should be an active Alabama RN, with experience in long-term care and staff development

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience.
• Staff Development experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to coordinate training programs and staff education initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement ongoing educational programs for nursing and support staff.
• Conduct new employee orientation and onboarding.
• Evaluate staff competencies and coordinate in-service training programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility standards.
• Support infection control and quality assurance initiatives.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff.
• Assist with maintaining education records and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with department leaders to identify training opportunities and performance improvement initiatives.
