Elkins Spinal Cord Injury RN

About Our Unit

Moss-Magee Rehab Elkins Park Spinal Cord Injury Rehab- 1 North is a 20-bed unit specializing in traumatic and non-traumatic spinal injuries. RNs and Nursing Assistants collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, neuropsychologists, social workers, and dietitians to provide optimal care and education.

• We promote an interdisciplinary approach, encouraging all team members to learn from each other and be heard.
• We promote continual learning and have an open-door policy.
• Our nurses are encouraged to participate in committees, organizations, and events important to them.
• We practice shared governance, ensuring nurses are heard and involved.

Schedule Commitment

Schedules are planned 6 weeks in advance. The position requires:

• 12-hour shifts
• Every third weekend work
• One holiday per season

Qualifications

• BSN degree preferred.
• State-issued RN license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
