About Our Unit

Moss-Magee Rehab Elkins Park Spinal Cord Injury Rehab - 1 North is a 20-bed unit specializing in traumatic and non-traumatic spinal injuries. Registered Nurses and Nursing Assistants collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, neuropsychologists, social workers, and dietitians to deliver optimal education and care.

Schedule Commitment

Schedules are planned 6 weeks in advance. Requirements include:

  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts
  • Availability to work every third weekend
  • Participation in one holiday per season
Responsibilities

As a registered nurse, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing patient procedures within the nursing scope of practice
  • Administering medications safely and monitoring patient responses
  • Participating in clinical pathway reviews and care coordination
Qualifications

To qualify, candidates must meet:

  • BSN degree preferred
  • State-issued RN license
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
