Job summary

Logan Health in Kalispell, Montana, is seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Navigator to guide patients from diagnosis through treatment with education, coordination, and compassionate follow-through. You will serve as the primary contact after a new cancer diagnosis, reducing uncertainty and removing barriers to care.

Qualifications

  • Current Montana RN license or multi-state compact license
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 4 years' experience, OR 6 years' experience
  • Four years' Oncology or Oncology related experience preferred
  • Oncology certification preferred, or willingness to obtain
  • Knowledge of professional practice standards and regulatory requirements; experience with EHR
  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and collaborate effectively with primary care and multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

  • Conducting intakes and needs assessments for new oncology patients
  • Educating patients and caregivers in person, by phone, and (soon) via telehealth
  • Coordinating appointments, testing, scans, and follow-up needs
  • Tracking patients across the care continuum and catching missed appointments or new needs
  • Collaborating with providers, social workers, and scheduling staff as part of a close multidisciplinary team
  • Using motivational interviewing to help patients reach their health goals
  • Contributing to quality improvement projects that shape how we deliver cancer care

What you'll do:

As the primary point of contact after a new cancer diagnosis, you'll reduce uncertainty, remove barriers to care, and make sure patients never feel alone.

Qualifications:

Shift:

Day Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)

Schedule:

Full-time, 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts. No weekends, no holidays. (Shifts are generally 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., but could vary slightly at times based on patient and program needs). Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
