Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs to provide direct patient care in an on‑site, high‑acuity environment. The role emphasizes safety, high quality care, and collaboration with the Radiology team.

Qualifications include RN licensure, ACLS and PALS within 6 months, BLS, and at least 6 months of RN experience. The position offers relocation support and a strong benefits program.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing with the state board.
• ACLS and PALS certifications to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum 6 months RN experience; prefer acute care or procedural setting.
• Graduate of an accredited RN program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents pre/post and procedural monitoring, communicating patient condition and documenting interventions.
• Ensures safety checklists, interventions and procedures are implemented and documented.
• Provides specialized nursing to a complex patient population in a high‑acuity environment.
• Responds to life‑threatening situations using nursing standards and protocols.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, and condition.
