GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing or shift supervisor, the Registered Nurse administers treatments, coordinates nursing care, and maintains standards of care on their assigned unit.

The RN must demonstrate knowledge to provide care appropriate to adult and geriatric residents, assessing responses and planning care accordingly, following departmental policies.

Supervision and Reporting: Team Leader; no direct reports.

EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.

WORK EXPERIENCE: Preferably one year in a geriatric setting.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: PA State Police clearance, current RN license or eligibility, CPR certification, effective communication skills, and good management skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to exert force up to 100 lbs, bending, reaching, and transporting throughout the facility.

HEALTH HAZARDS: Possible exposure to blood, body substances, and needle sticks.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Resident living areas.
