Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing or shift supervisor, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) administers prescribed treatments, coordinates nursing care, and monitors standards of care on their assigned unit.

The LPN must demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate for caring for adult to geriatric residents, participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, and follow departmental policies and procedures. The role includes supervising Nurse Aides and working as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
• Current LPN license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners or eligible
• CPR certification (must be maintained)
• Minimum one year of experience in a geriatric setting preferred
• Clearance from PA State Police criminal background check
