Job summary

Wyoming Life Resource Center (WLRC) is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join us as a Senior Nurse and leader. You will mentor the nursing team, teach new staff, and advocate for residents while overseeing clinical programs and developing medical protocols.

You will guide staff, lead training sessions, and collaborate with doctors and families to resolve complex clinical issues, ensuring high standards of care for people with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Current Wyoming RN license or eligibility.
• 1–2 years of progressive nursing experience.
• 4–6 years of nursing experience in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

Beyond daily patient care, you will oversee clinical programs, help develop new medical protocols, and ensure our care standards are the best they can be. • Guiding and supporting staff nurses to ensure high‑quality care and positive resident outcomes.
• Developing and managing clinical care plans to ensure every resident receives appropriate medical treatment.
• Leading staff orientations and training sessions to keep the team current on nursing skills and facility protocols.
• Collaborating with doctors, families, and specialists to resolve complex clinical issues and advocate for resident goals.
• Performing advanced nursing assessments, treatments, and evaluations for residents.
• Managing special projects, including the development of new facility policies and care programs.
• Participating in a rotating on‑call schedule to ensure nursing coverage and support.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree (typically in Nursing)

Experience:

• 1-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Nurse

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming

Education & Experience Substitution:

• 4-6 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Nurse

• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming

Hiring Bonus Eligibility and Conditions:

• New state employees and temporary employees accepting a permanent position.
• Current state employees accepting a promotional opportunity-recruitment must have been open to the public.
• One year of service in the position must be completed. Failure to complete this requirement will require reimbursement of the bonus with the funds deducted from the final pay.
• Internal candidates will be required to remain in the position for a minimum of (1) year from the promotion date.
• Employees will only be eligible for (1) hiring bonus in a 12-month period.
