Job summary

Parkwoodbhs is seeking a Registered Nurse for a temporary assignment in Olive Branch, Mississippi. The RN will provide professional nursing care and coordinate with a multidisciplinary treatment team, working from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

The ideal candidate will have a nursing degree, relevant experience, and a current Mississippi RN license. This position offers an hourly rate of $56, and candidates with prior UHS employment in the last 6 months are not eligible.

Job description

Responsibilities

Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Parkwood Behavioral Health. The RN prescribes, coordinates, and delegates nursing care using the nursing process integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care. The RN is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit. The RN may also assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as required.

Assignment: Temporary assignment (no more than 6 months). Hours/schedule: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. Hourly rate: $56.00 per hour. Candidates employed by any UHS facility within the last 6 months are not eligible.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program required; BSN preferred.
• Experience: One year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Licensure: Registered Nurse license by the Mississippi Board of Nursing or multi‑state license approved by NCSBN.
• CPR: Current CPR or BLS certification.
• Knowledge: General and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships, age‑specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management, and CPR training.
