Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX is seeking experienced registered nurses for a full-time Cardiac Care Unit role. This 36-hour-per-week position supports a 36-bed Telemetry Monitored Nursing Unit, with night shift coverage from 7pm to 7am.

Ideal candidates have an RN license in Texas, 18+ months of acute care experience, and BLS certification. ACLS/NIH training within 6 months is preferred. Join a team focused on evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice professional nursing in Texas.
• Minimum 18 Months of RN experience in acute care or hospital setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for telemetry patients in the Cardiac Care Unit.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor patient status, interpret telemetry, and escalate changes as needed.

This 36-bed Telemetry Monitored Nursing Unit Provides The Opportunity To Work With a Wide Variety Of Patients Ranging In Age From Adults To Geriatrics. The Conditions That Are Within The Scope Of Service For 4 South Include But Are Not Limited To The Following

• Myocardial Infarction
• Coronary Artery Bypass
• Pre/Post Heart Transplant Patients
• Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement
• Percutaneous Trans-luminal coronary angioplasty
• Chest Pain
• Congestive Heart Failure
• Vascular surgery
• Ventricular Assist Device (VAD)
• Invasive Hemodynamic Monitoring

Certifications:

Ventricular Assistive Device Program, Chest Pain Center, Comprehensive Stroke Program, Transplant Program, ACLS/NIH within 6 months,

Care of patients on the Cardiac Care Unit are grounded on the principles of best evidence-based practices to provide quality care to patients. Requirements Of The Ideal Candidate

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing
• ADN required; BSN preferred
• Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas
• Minimum 18 Months of RN experience, Acute Care or Hospital setting preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.

Qualifications

• A degree from a recognized nursing program or two years of relevant work experience
• A minimum of (1) one year's experience in the field of nursing
• A valid Registered Nurse license
• The ability to obtain a Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days of employment.
