Qualifikationen

• Education/Certification – Licensed as a Louisiana Registered Nurse.
• Experience – Two (2) years experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Ancillary Louisiana Teaching Certificate must be acquired within the first year of employment and maintained thereafter.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

• Maintains student health records.
• Verifies state immunizations for students.
• Performs vision, hearing, and scoliosis screening per state guidelines.
• Develops individualized emergency/health plans for medically fragile students.
• Assists in identifying communicable diseases at the school site and takes appropriate action.
• Supervises administration of medications in schools.
• Conducts in-service/training for school personnel and students.
• Acts as liaison between parents, teachers, and school personnel on health matters.
• Contributes to health policy development with the school nurse coordinator and directors.
• Performs duties of supervision and non-instructional activities as needed.
• Supports teamwork and continuity of service across the school system.
