RN- Same Day Surgery- Full Time- 1230p-10p- 36 hours/week

This position involves delivering and coordinating nursing care for patients within a multidisciplinary team, utilizing the nursing process to ensure comprehensive, high-quality care. You will provide compassionate, patient-centered care, support patients and families emotionally, prioritize patient safety, and strive for optimal outcomes through evidence-based practices. Additionally, you will educate and advocate for patients and their families, demonstrating professionalism and upholding the MLH Mission, Vision, and Values.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments and developing care plans.
  • Providing patient and family education on care plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
  • Implementing and adjusting personalized care plans based on assessments.
  • Administering medications safely and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications:

  • Post-Graduate Certificate or Diploma in Nursing - RN; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 months RN experience; 1+ year preferred.

Skills and Certifications:

  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and delegation skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare technology and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; RN license in Tennessee; Clinical specialty certification preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Includes climbing, standing, reaching, and repetitive motions, with the ability to exert up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must have good visual acuity and be able to react quickly in emergencies.
