Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing seeks an RN RNFA for robotics in Rochester, NY. You will support the surgeon and OR team, performing RNFA duties during operations, and also step in for circulating and scrub roles as needed.

Required are NY RN license, RNFA program, CNOR, and at least 2 years OR experience. Robotic experience with Da Vinci systems is mandatory for this contract/Travel role.

Qualifications

• Active New York RN license is required.
• Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant (RNFA) program.
• CNOR certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience.
• Robotic experience is mandatory, including Da Vinci systems.
• Experience with robotic Urology, Gynecology, Colorectal, Oncology, Thoracic, and General Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon and healthcare team during operative procedures.
• Practice as an RN First Assistant under surgeon direction.
• Provide safe perioperative care to support outcomes.
• Perform RNFA duties during the operative phase.
• Perform circulating and scrub RN duties when not RNFA.
• Collaborate with surgeons and the surgical team.
• Apply knowledge and judgment in the OR and RNFA role.

JOB OVERVIEW

• Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week
• Call: Evening call and rotating holidays

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Active New York Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license
• Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant (RNFA) program
• CNOR certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Proficient in perioperative nursing practice
• Scrubbing and circulating experience preferred
• BLS – American Heart Association only
• ACLS – American Heart Association preferred
• ROBOTIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Da Vinci robotic surgery experience required
• Experience with robotic Urology, GYN, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, Thoracic, and General Surgery
• Robotic Surgical Oncology experience including Whipple procedures, gastrectomies, and hernia repairs
• Robotic General Surgery experience including cholecystectomies and appendectomies
