TLC Nursing Center is seeking a Risk Manager & Abuse Coordinator to support leadership in ensuring compliance, resident safety, and high-quality care. The role focuses on risk management initiatives, incident reporting, and abuse investigations to prevent mistreatment and strengthen care standards.

Ideal candidates are an RN with Alabama licensure and experience in healthcare risk management, capable of training staff and enforcing policy across the facility.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with active license in Alabama (required).
• Experience in risk management, quality assurance, or compliance in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of state and federal regulations related to resident safety, incident reporting, and abuse prevention.
• Certification in risk management welcome but not required.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide staff education and policy implementation.

Responsibilities

• Support the Administrator and Director of Nursing in developing and implementing risk management strategies.
• Oversee facility-wide risk assessment and incident reporting processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Serve as the Abuse Coordinator, ensuring investigations and reporting of findings to prevent mistreatment of residents.
• Develop and conduct staff training programs on risk prevention, abuse recognition, and compliance protocols.
• Maintain and review policies related to resident safety and abuse prevention to align with standards.
• Analyze trends in incident reports to develop proactive risk reduction strategies.
• Collaborate with department heads to enhance staff accountability and quality improvement efforts.
