Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration in Ohio is recruiting for a Registered Nurse (Reusable Medical Devices Coordinator) to provide clinical expertise across all Reusable Medical Equipment processes per IFU throughout the facility.

Preferred BSN with 1–2 years as an RN or surgical nursing, with knowledge of Sterile Processing or RMD; the role partners with Infection Prevention and supports ongoing training, SOP development, and compliance with IAHCSMM, AORN, AMMI guidelines and VA directives.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred for this role.
• 1–2 years as clinical RN or surgical nursing experience.
• General knowledge of sterile processing or reusable medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing process in processing devices and supervise RMD activities.
• Provide clinical knowledge for critical, semi-critical, and non-critical RME per IFU.
• Develop SOPs and training; support succession planning for RMD.
• Ensure compliance with IAHCSMM, AORN, AMMI, and VA directives.
