Job summary

VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System in Cleveland is seeking a Registered Nurse (Reusable Medical Devices Coordinator) to provide clinical knowledge in processing Reusable Medical Equipment (RME) per manufacturers' IFUs.

The role includes implementing quality management, training, SOP development, and collaborating with Infection Prevention to ensure RMD program compliance across the facility. Strong nursing background and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• English proficiency as required by VA standards.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure.
• Knowledgeable in processing reusable medical equipment (RME) per IFU.
• Ability to implement quality management and SOP development.
• Collaborative approach with Infection Prevention and other staff.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing process to processing of devices and supervision.
• Provide clinical knowledge for RME across critical, semi-critical, non-critical categories.
• Implement quality management, training, and SOP development based on IFU.
• Collaborate with IP staff to ensure program understanding and partnership.
• Ensure compliance with IAHCSMM, AORN, AMMI, and VHA directives.
• Support staffing and development related to RMD program needs.
