Job Overview:

The RWJBarnabas Health New Graduate RN Residency program is a one-year program designed to support new graduate RNs in their transition from student to professional nurse. It offers a safe, caring, and comprehensive learning environment that promotes clinical competency and professional growth. The program includes:

• Preceptor-guided transition and relationship-building for new graduates.
• Continuing education and professional development opportunities.
• Specialty-specific foundational courses reflecting scope and standards of practice.
• Application of professional accountability and ethical practice.
• Focus on patient safety, quality, and satisfaction.
• Self-care components to promote a safe and fulfilling nursing practice.
• Mentorship support throughout the first year and beyond.
• Hired into the specific area of specialty.
• Variable Day or Night shifts available.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program.
• NJ RN licensure prior to hire date.
• Less than 6 months of RN experience.
• Commitment to complete orientation requirements.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN degree.
