Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Prefer specialty certification at hire or within one year.
• Must graduate by December 2026.
• Must hold current RN license or valid temporary permit with the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Must have current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a patient advocate with attention to needs, rights, confidentiality, and cultural preferences.
• Maintains positive relationships with Parkland staff and external customers while providing care.
• Performs patient assessments, identifies interventions, and documents care plans and outcomes.
• Uses critical thinking to recognize emergencies and provide appropriate nursing actions.
