Job summary

CarePartners in Morganton, NC is offering a year-long RN Residency Program designed to transition new graduates into registered nurse roles with hands-on experience in a hospital setting.

As an RN Resident, you will receive mentorship from experienced nurse educators, participate in monthly educational sessions, and complete an evidence-based project while delivering patient-centered care under supervision.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS within 1 year of employment.
• Other Certifications may be required during employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
• No previous experience needed.
• Some travel may be needed for training.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or functions as ordered by medical providers and document care.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses, notifying providers as needed.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate patient needs.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers about condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up measures.
