Job summary

BMCHS is seeking a registered nurse to perform professional nursing duties including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients and families within the Massachusetts healthcare continuum.

The role requires MA RN licensure, BLS (ACLS where required), and graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred). New grads are welcome in relevant units with orientation provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate’s degree or BSN; BSN preferred.
• Candidates without BSN must enroll in a Baccalaureate program within 1 year and complete BSN by the end of the semester after four-year anniversary.
• Registration and current RN licensure in MA in good standing preferred prior to start date.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification may be required for some units.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation and care coordination.
• Deliver direct patient care and ensure quality and fiscal outcomes per nursing department policies.
• Collaborate with health care team to support patients and families across the care continuum.
• Educate patients and families and participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
