Job summary

Boston Medical Center is offering a New Graduate RN Residency – Medical‑Surgical program (36 hours, permanent) to newly licensed nurses. The program begins with a 6-month orientation featuring clinical mentorship, educational days, and preceptorship from Nursing Professional Development Specialists.

Participants rotate through Oncology, Neurology, Renal, Geriatric & Cardiology, Orthopedics, and Post‑Op units, gaining hands-on experience within a supportive team and structured professional

Qualifications

• RN with BLS/CPR certification.
• Graduated from a nursing program within 12 months before hire.
• NCLEX passed prior to interview.
• Flu shot required before start.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across the continuum.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and document nursing interventions and outcomes.
• Adhere to the nursing department model of care, agency policies, protocols, guidelines, and standards of practice.
• Report to the Unit Nurse Director.

Compensation

Base salary range: $38,050 – $75,330. Compensation is based on education, experience, licensure, and certifications directly related to the role.
