Job summary

MultiCare Valley Hospital is seeking an RN Resident Fellow for the CCU to support new graduates or existing RNs transitioning to hospital-based or specialty areas. The program blends classroom instruction with clinical hours under experienced preceptors to grow nursing competence, autonomy, and professional purpose.

The role offers a 0.9 FTE with a 12/40 shift pattern. Requirements include Washington RN licensure, BLS, and departmental ACLS/PALS/NRP within 90 days and TNCC/PEARS within a year.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current BLS Certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP within 90 days of hire as required by department.
• TNCC, PEARS within 1 year of hire as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, coordinate, evaluate and delegate nursing functions across individuals and populations.
• Utilize the nursing process for care and health teaching in promotion and prevention.
• Function interdependently when implementing medical regimens under physician direction.
• Collaborate to improve quality of care, patient experience and cost efficiency.
