Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System seeks Summer 2027 graduate nurses to transition from Nurse Extern II to RN after licensure. Opportunity spans OR, Telemetry, CDU, ED, ICU, Med-Surg, OB across IL and WI facilities.

Candidates must graduate from an accredited program, with RN licensure in practice state and BLS. A Bachelor’s in Nursing is preferred and the system offers comprehensive benefits and career growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred.
• Licensed RN in state of practice is required; Wisconsin multi-state license allowed; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: 36 hours per week, nights, across OR, Telemetry, CDU, ED, ICU, Med-Surg, OB.
• Nurse Extern II role during last semester with transition to RN after licensure.
• Provide patient-centered nursing care and support across multiple departments.

Pay Range: $32.00 - $48.00 A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

Education Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.

Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required. Wisconsin: RNs may practice with a valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
