Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque in Dubuque, IA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Rehab Unit. This full-time role is .9 FTE with 36 hours per week, on a day shift from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm, with 12-hour shifts and every third weekend rotation.

You will assess patients, develop and implement care plans, monitor telemetry, and collaborate with the health team to ensure safe, evidence-based care while adhering to safety and infection control policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required.
• RN license issued by the State of Iowa.
• BLS certification required; ACLS if telemetry.
• Mandatory Reporter training completed within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conducts assessment and identifies patient problems; develops plan of care.
• Implements outcome-/goal-based plan of care.
• Evaluates patient progress and revises the plan as needed.
• Communicates relevant clinical information to the team.
• Demonstrates clinical competence and telemetry monitoring when applicable.
• Provides age-appropriate care on the Rehab Unit.
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and health policies.

Schedule

.9 FTE, 36 hours per week. Day shift: 6:00 am - 6:30 pm. RNs work 12-hour shifts. Every third weekend Holiday rotation. Schedules are made every six weeks ongoing. Staff are encouraged to select preferred shifts for scheduling.

Essential Functions

• Conducts assessment
• Identifies patient problems and develops plan of care
• Implements outcome/goal - based plan of care
• Evaluates patient progress and revises the outcome/goal - based plan as needed
• Communicates relevant clinical information to the team to optimize patient outcomes/goals
• Demonstrates clinical competence
• Manages telemetry and cardiac monitoring when applicable
• Provides care appropriate to the age-related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned unit
• Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures
• Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health's Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Possession of a current or compact state licensure as a Registered Nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required only if the unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter - Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire
