Job summary
The Rehabilitation Institute of South San Antonio, operated with Lifepoint Health, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for rehab care on a full-time night shift. You will assess patients, implement nursing interventions, and document care plans while coordinating with interdisciplinary teams.
Requirements include a current state RN license and a bachelor’s degree in nursing. BLS required within 30 days; ACLS and PALS within six months.
Qualifications
- Current state RN license and bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
- One year of Rehab and/or Med Surg experience preferred.
- ASLS certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs accurate patient assessments and identifies needs.
- Initiates appropriate nursing interventions and documents care.
- Delivers care aligned with patient condition and age and coordinates with care team.
- Maintains timely documentation of medical necessity and updates care plans.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams; supports patient transfers and education.
