in our Cardiology Clinic.
WORK SCHEDULE:
- 90% FTE, 36 hrs/weekly
- Mon - Fri, Day Shift, Assigned shifts can vary between 7am and 6pm DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: Located in north Seattle, Heart Institute at UW Medical Center – Northwest provides a wide range of cardiac services, including early prevention, risk assessment and acute and chronic disease management.Our specialists are experienced in handling cardiovascular problems including hyperlipidemia, coronary and peripheral vascular disease, valvular and structural heart disease, hypertension, arrhythmias and heart failure. Services offered include ECGs, heart catheterization and interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, arrhythmia management, stress testing, echocardiography, anticoagulation services and cardiac rehabilitation. Advanced cardiology services are available at UW Medical Center – Montlake. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

- Opportunity to provide career growth PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with ECHO Procedures like Definity Administration and Bubble studies, and stress tests.
- EPIC and telephone triage -- responds to patients, reviews test results and triages treatment needs, utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation) to prescribe, prioritize, delegate, coordinate, and provide safe, therapeutic nursing care to patients/families.
- Make independent judgments/decisions and takes action regarding a wide range of routine and complex patient problems and situations.
- Provides wound care to patients post device implant.
- Make pre-procedure calls instructing patients in day of procedure process, preparations and medication adjustments, and post-procedure follow-up care.
- Collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate to coordinate continuity of patient care.
- Supports the prior authorization process for prescribed medications.
- Collaborates with multi-disciplinary services to provide a continuum of care for the patient. REQUIREMENTS:
- Active WA State or Multi-State RN License by start date
- Current BLS; ACLS by end of first year
