The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for a group of patients. This role involves leading nursing team members in care delivery as directed by the attending physician and in collaboration with other healthcare providers, adhering to ProMedica Acute Care Hospitals' philosophies and policies. The nurse actively fosters an environment that promotes patient, family, physician, and employee satisfaction, ensuring decisions are based on patient-centered care, evidence-based practices, safety, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes.
The Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care requiring knowledge, judgment, and skills from biological, physical, behavioral, social, spiritual/cultural, and nursing sciences. The nurse functions within the full scope of practice as defined by the Board of Nursing for their state, complying with hospital accreditation standards.
