Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Garden, Florida, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift. Join our Clinical Ladder program and earn salary increases up to 20% based on experience and achievement of advancement criteria.

You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications safely, educate patients and families, collaborate with the medical team, and document care in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications

  • RN license in Florida and BLS required.
  • 1+ acute care hospital setting preferred.
  • Fluent in English (reading/writing/spoken).
  • Ability to document in electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes
