Trinity Health Livonia is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time night shift in Livonia, MI. The RN will contribute to patient care across the unit, monitor patients, and collaborate with the care team in a fast-paced telemetry environment.

Requirements include MI RN licensure, BSN preferred or commitment to obtain BSN within five years, and BLS certification. Previous medical-surgical experience and strong computer skills are valued.

Trinity Health Livonia is a beautiful full-service, 304-bed acute care hospital, located in Livonia, MI, that provides comprehensive care, including a 24-hour emergency department, general medicine, inpatient and outpatient surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, intensive care unit, cancer, cardiology, geriatrics and birthing and women's health. Rapid Decision Unit: This 17-bed Observation Unit is a fast-paced environment designed for short-term monitoring and treatment of patients requiring further evaluation. Common diagnoses include chest pain, transient ischemic attack (TIA), COPD exacerbations, syncope, hypertension, and more. This telemetry-equipped unit ensures continuous cardiac monitoring and provides specialized care, including NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessments and blood product administration. The team is skilled in rapid assessment, critical thinking, and delivering high-quality care in a dynamic setting.

Summary

The Registered Nurse is accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe. The responsibilities include coordination and evaluation of care, teaching and delegation of patient activities to the other health care team members via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and the environment.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Associates degree in Nursing required. BSN degree preferred or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years. Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required. BLS required. Previous medical surgical experience preferred. Must be computer proficient and have excellent customer service skills.
