Job summary

Trinity Health Livonia is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for full-time night shifts in a 36-hour, 12-hour shift schedule with weekend and holiday commitments.

BSN preferred or willingness to obtain BSN within five years; Michigan RN license and BLS required. Strong med-surg background and computer skills are desirable as part of a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN required; BSN preferred or plan to obtain BSN within five years.
• Current RN licensure in Michigan; BLS certification required.
• Medical-surgical experience preferred; computer proficiency and strong customer service expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care within designated timeframe and unit.
• Coordinate and evaluate care; teach and delegate patient activities.
• Collaborate with health-care team to ensure safe, effective care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.

3 South:

This 40-bed Progressive Care Unit provides specialized care for stroke patients, along with other complex conditions such as congestive heart failure (CHF), NSTEMI, acute kidney injury (AKI), hypertension, and atrial fibrillation. This telemetry-equipped unit offers continuous cardiac monitoring and has the capability to manage cardiac drips and stable ventilator patients. Nurses in this unit are highly skilled in neurological assessments, cardiac care, and delivering comprehensive treatment in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse is accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe. The responsibilities include coordination and evaluation of care, teaching and delegation of patient activities to the other health care team members via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and the environment.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Associates degree in Nursing required. BSN degree preferred or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years. Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required. BLS required. Previous medical surgical experience preferred. Must be computer proficient and have excellent customer service skills.
