Job summary

Sunrise Manor & Convalescent Center in Amelia, Ohio, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN dayshift coverage. You will provide safe, compassionate nursing care, collaborating with physicians, families, and the care team to carry out individualized care plans.

Responsibilities include med administration, assessments, wound care, and accurate documentation, while supervising Nursing Assistants. Current Ohio RN license and CPR certification are required, with long-term care experience

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Ohio RN license or multi-state license.
• Nursing degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per residents' plans of care, including meds, assessments, wound care, and documentation.
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities by Nursing Assistants/STNAs.
• Monitor residents' conditions, recognize changes, and notify physician and team.
• Promote a positive, resident-centered environment.

About the RN Role

As an RN at Sunrise Manor, you will be responsible for providing safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to our residents from admission through discharge. You will work collaboratively with the physician, family, and interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing direct nursing care in accordance with the resident's plan of care, including medication administration, assessments, wound care, and accurate documentation
• Supervising day-to-day nursing activities performed by Nursing Assistants/STNAs
• Monitoring residents' conditions, promptly recognizing changes, and notifying the physician and appropriate team members
• Promoting a positive, respectful, and resident-focused environment

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Ohio RN (Registered Nurse) license or multi-state license
• Nursing degree from an accredited nursing program or college/university
• Current CPR certification
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a similar setting preferred

Skills and Qualities

• Strong knowledge of nursing and medical practices, as well as state, federal, and regulatory requirements related to long-term care
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and sound clinical judgment
