Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our PRN team. This role supports clinical operations across the patient care continuum, delivering compassionate, high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, administer medications, and document outcomes. The position requires RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS; a nursing degree and strong communication are

Qualifications

• RN license required
• BLS/CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Associates degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients covering physiological, psychological, development, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care; regularly evaluate and revise plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, care activities and outcomes in the medical record.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Education

Work Experience

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]

Licenses And Certifications
