AdventHealth in East Orlando, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN shifts on the East Orlando campus. The role emphasizes comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care plans, and safe medication administration within a collaborative team.

The position requires Florida RN licensure, BLS certification, and a minimum of 1 year in an acute care setting. A strong communication style and proficiency with Windows-based systems are expected.

Qualifications

• RN required (Registered Nurse) with active license in Florida.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• 1+ acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physical, psychological, developmental, sociocultural and spiritual factors to plan care.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly evaluate progress.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocol; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care to promote understanding.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, interventions and outcomes.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
