Job summary

Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced RN to provide patient care in the inpatient endoscopy and outpatient digestive health settings. This role is part-time, PRN with a minimum of two shifts per week, and offers the opportunity to rotate between departments and participate in Mercy's patient-centered care mission.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited Nursing Degree, an active Oklahoma RN license, BLS certification, and at least one year of inpatient nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Licensed RN in the state of Oklahoma.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality.

Position Details:

Location: Mercy Hospital - Oklahoma City (W Memorial Rd)

Shift: Part Time, PRN (as needed)

Schedule: Minimum of 2 shifts per week needed

This position will have the opportunity to rotate between our inpatient endoscopy department (Outpatient Diagnostics) and Mercy's new outpatient digestive health institute (Kathryn Ann Meinders)!

Overview:

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• Preferred Experience:1 years of inpatient nursing experience
• License: current RN license in our state
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Red Cross

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
