Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Park, Florida is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for a full-time day-shift program. The position begins with a Monday–Friday day schedule, transitioning to an evening shift after the five-month program.

You will assess diagnostics, plan care, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to advance patient outcomes. The role requires an RN license and CPR certification, with an Associates degree (Bachelor’s preferred) and 1 year of inpatient/ED experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license and CPR certification required.
• Associates degree in nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year inpatient or ED experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and interprets diagnostic data relative to patient age and condition, including lab results, non-invasive monitoring data, and interdisciplinary team notes.
• Makes appropriate decisions and implements interventions based on nursing diagnoses according to patients' actual or potential health conditions or needs.
• Sets measurable and achievable short and long-range goals for patients, developing and implementing individualized plans of care.
• Prioritizes and completes follow-up assessments, evaluating and modifying plans of care as needed.
• Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department, exhibiting a desire to learn, teach, mentor, and advance nursing skills.
• Applies knowledge and skills pertaining to all diagnoses, procedures, medications, complications, and equipment associated with unit patient population.

Job Description

• Monday through Friday day shift for the program, evening shift once program complete (5 months later)

No PTO can be taken during the duration of the program because of the inability to make up missed time.

Education

• Associates of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelors of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience

• Minimum 1 year experience in an inpatient or Emergency Department setting preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Pay Range

$31.85 - $52.76
