Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Park, Florida is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift. The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, med administration, patient education, and collaborative teamwork in a busy hospital setting.

Eligible clinicians may advance salary through the Clinical Ladder. 36 hours weekly, 7:00am–7:00pm, with Florida background screening requirements and equal opportunity employment protections in place.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• 1+ year of acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate care and ensure teamwork.

Job Description:

Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.

Schedule:

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures

Pay Range:

$31.85 - $52.76
