UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a skilled nurse to provide professional care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical procedures. The role includes scrub and circulating duties, assisting the surgeon with tasks such as hemostasis and suturing, and ensuring the operating room is properly prepared.

The position requires BLS, ACLS within specified timelines, and an Alabama RN license. The department is CVOR, with a 6am-3pm schedule from Monday to Friday and rotating call; work

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire is required.
• Advanced Life Support within 180 days of hire is required.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing prior to hire.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required.
