Zusammenfassung

UAB Medicine is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the CVOR to deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting. You will scrub, circulate, and assist the surgeon, ensuring patient safety before, during, and after procedures.

Responsibilities include preparing the OR, managing instruments, and positioning patients as required. Eligible benefits include PTO, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement, with opportunities across Alabama’s leading health system.

Qualifikationen

• BLS Provider required within 1 month of hire or transfer date.
• Advanced Life Support required within 6 months of hire date or transfer date.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed by the Alabama Board of Nursing before hire.

Job Description

• Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.
• Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
• Directly assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.
• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required.
